The Back Pain Care Foundation is a subsidiary of Omega Physiotherapy & Back Pain Care Clinics, the brain child of Dr. Charles Chidi Ehirim, a Musculo-Skeletal Physiotherapist.

The Back Pain Care Foundation was registered with Corporate Affairs Commission, Abuja, 2010. The foundation embarks on regular Save-the-back campaigns through dissemination of information and at the same time providing help in terms of therapy to back pain sufferers and teaching people to use their bodies sensibly and thus reduce the incidence of back pain.

The foundation conducts seminar/workshops regularly for organized bodies (Faith-based organizations, corporate organizations, government establishment, etc) on back pain mitigation.

It has its headquarters at Suite 001, National Women Development Centre, Central Business District, Garki, Abuja.

Mission

To complement Nigeria's health sector through private sector partnership by way of seminars and regular capacity building workshops on back pain agony and demonstrating expertise in its mitigation.

Dr. Charlse Ehirim

Dr. Charles Chidi Ehirim was born on 21^st December 1957 to a humble Christain family of late Mr & Mrs Vidah, Adaku, Ehirim in Mbaitoli Local Government Area, Imo state. He attended Government College Owerri Imo State. Charles Ehirim, is a graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University (former University of Ife, Ile Ife) Osun State, Nigeria. He majors in Medical Rehabilitation with specialization in Physiotherapy. He holds a Doctorate degree in Human Kinetics. He is a physiotherapist per excellent, a professional to the core and a man who puts all he has to bring physiotherapy to the lime light; with core competences in Back pain challenge and Stroke rehabilitation. He has unassuming personality.

Dr. Charles Ehirim has been practicing Physiotherapy since 1986 in Onitsha and has treated thousands of patients with physiotherapy-related conditions over the years, but considers his breakthroughs in the realm of chronic back pain challenge, his greatest personal and professional achievement. He lives in Onitsha with his family from where he oversees his various branches in Abuja, Portharcourt, Warri Owerri and Ekwulobia.

He is the Chief executive, Omega Physiotherapy & Back Pain Care clinics. His expertise, experience and empathy for people living with Stroke Disabilities and Chronic Back Pain challenge, in particular led him to establish three non-governmental organizations (NGO) – Back Pain Care Foundation, Stroke Disability Care Initiative and Omega Physiotherapy Missions, with the aim of organizing capacity building workshops, seminars and providing therapeutic intervention recipe to those faced with intractable back pain and stroke disability respectively.

He is a columnist with Healthy Living and Good Health magazines. He has also a must-read health column in Daily Sun Newspapers on Back Pain & you. Dr Charles Chidi Ehirim is regular guest speaker on national and State Radio stations on back pain mitigation; especially in the South-South and South-East. He was awarded Millennium Development Goal’s Ambassador in February 2010 by the United Nations Agency for his immense professional and philanthropic contribution to urban and grass root communities. He is married with children.
